Obituary for Thomas Trzcinski

Thomas Trzcinski Jr., age 87 passed away at Independence Village in Oxford, MI on Friday, March 24, 2017. Tom was born November 6th, 1929 in Hamtramck, MI to Thomas Trzcinski Sr. and Rose (Lubinski) Trzcinski. He completed St. Thomas School in June 1946. Thomas was drafted into the Army in 1951. He served in France until 1953. Upon return, he married Mary Elizabeth “Betty” McKinnon in April 1954. He retired from Consumer’s Energy in 1991. He and Betty retired to Gaylord, MI and Bradenton, FL where they spent many happy years bowling, playing cards, boating and enjoying friends and family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, seven of his siblings, his wife Betty, and his sons Lawrence and Francis. He is survived by his sister Virginia; children; Alan (Sharon) Trzcinski, Lynn (Frank) Mustazza and Joseph (Susan) Trzcinski; grandchildren Jacob (Leah) Trzcinski, Dana (Kevin) Ferguson, Kristen (Erskine) Bonilla, Katherine (Andrew) Rittenhouse, Elizabeth (Gregory) Arpin, Anastasiya Trzcinski and Alexander Trzcinski; and great grandchildren Hunter, Dustin, Lincoln, Caleb and Ethan.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion at 1 PM on Saturday April 8, 2017 presided by Father Michael Verschaeve . A luncheon will be held at Canterbury Village King’s Court Castle, 2369 Joslyn Ct, Lake Orion, MI 48360 starting at 2:30 PM. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery will be a separate private family event held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the angles that helped the family so much during this difficult time; Heart to Heart Hospice.
