GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Zachary “Zach” James Gagnier left this world suddenly on September 30, 2020 at the age of 26. Zachary was born in Rochester Hills, MI on April 18, 1994, the youngest of three children of Marty and Cindy Gagnier of Oxford MI. He graduated from Lake Orion (MI) High School in 2012. In addition to his two parents, he is survived by sister Stephanie (David) Thomas of Rochester MI, sister Danielle Gagnier of Ferndale MI, grandparent Benjamin Achatz of Harrison MI, and grandparents James and Charmaine Gagnier of Harrisville, MI.
Those who knew Zach admired his free spirit, his fun personality, and his strong love for music. He had a quirky sense of humor and was able to light up a room with his jokes and charisma. He loved the outdoors and walking through the woods, and looked forward to an annual canoe trip with his father. He also loved his parent’s Golden Retriever Sully. Zach was a talented guitarist and songwriter and was part of a band that toured Brazil. Many of his compositions can be found on sites like YouTube, SoundCloud, and Bandcamp.
Zachary will be loved and missed everyday by his immediate and extended family, and by the many friends that he made during his shortened life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to the Family Against Narcotics organization at www.familiesagainstnarcotics.org.
Due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, a visitation in the traditional sense where people would gather together and visit for long periods of time is not permitted. However, it is important to Zachary's family that there is an opportunity for family and friends to enter the funeral home briefly and pay their final respects. With that in mind, visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM. In an attempt to avoid large groups of people arriving at the funeral home at the same time, the funeral home and family have established designated visiting times. If your last name starts with A - F from 3:00 –4:00, G - K from 4:00 – 5:00, L - P from 5:00 – 6:00, Q - U from 6:00 – 7:00, V-Z from 7:00 - 8:00. Please Try to adhere to the designated arrival times. If you are unable to come at the designated times you are still welcome, especially if you work schedule effects your arrival time. Be advised that no more than 10 people are allowed in the funeral home at a time, so we would encourage your time paying your respects be kept brief. Masks are required and please practice social distancing.
