Besides his wife, he is survived by their children, Dean (Jean) Tripp of Fort Wayne, Indiana, DeAnne (Curtis) Nordine of Ludington, Ronald (Debra) Tripp of Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Julie Wagner of Oxford; and by his grandchildren, Eric (Rebecca) Tripp of Woodburn, Indiana, Rachel Tripp of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Katherine Tripp of Chevy Chase, Maryland, Caleb (Shawna) Nordine of Ludington, and Kayleigh Nordine of Grand Rapids and by great-grandchildren Tyler, Taylor, Emily, Ella and Eyrelyn Tripp of Woodburn, Indiana. A 1949 graduate of Oxford High School, Bob served his country in The U.S. Air Force and spent a career managing the office at American Aggregates’ Oxford plant. Bob served his community in numerous ways, including many years on The Oxford Village Council, as a member of American Legion Post 108, in various capacities at Immanuel Congregational Church, as a founding officer of Oxford’s senior housing complex (Oxford Square Apartments), and for many decades as a member and past president of The Oxford Lions Club.
During his life Bob enjoyed working in his yard, and camping with his family while traveling the State of Michigan; and as years passed, spending winters in Florida and taking walks through the town he had always called home.
