Patricia Robin Kroesing was born on January 25, 1958 in Pontiac, Michigan and passed away on August 3, 2010 of cardiac arrest.
Patty was always on the cutting edge. Knowledgeable in homeopathic medicine, health food, and foreign affairs Patty was an indomitable spirit and a force to be reckoned with.
Patty was also an artist and it was through her art that she was able to express her feelings. She was an entrepreneur - launching, marketing and running her own micro enterprise, Volunteer, Inc. Under this banner head, she taught art classes, sold her paintings at her art shows and was a public speaker. She spoke at seminars and workshops advocating on behalf of the mentally ill. She spoke with clinicians and the mentally ill regarding the ways this disease affected everyone, not just the person suffering but also their families. She worked with both groups in trying to find ways that those affected could get the most out of their lives by finding some release as she did. This was no small feat due to the fact that Patty herself was mentally ill.
Patty was a vibrant, talented, brilliant, generous soul who had a wonderful mischievous nature and a playful side that drew people to her. She loved to have fun and laugh. She enjoyed being with people, especially her family. She was delightful to be around and no matter where she was or who she was with, she could “win friends and influence people”.
For those who knew and loved her, she will be missed. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends. To those who didn’t get to know her well, you will never know what a special person you missed out on.
While Patty’s “long and winding road” has come to an end, those of us she left behind will always be in awe of what she was able to accomplish in her short but jam packed life.
You will be missed Patty and we will always be your loving family.
Patty is survived by her parents, Patricia and Donald L. Harshman, Jr. and her sisters Kim (Donald) Marcus and Geri (Dennis) Edwards.
Her nephews: Timothy Wayne Mellor, Christopher Charles Mellor and William (Bill) Fagen Marcus .Her niece Margaret (Maggie) Marie (Marcus) Tarr.
She was preceded in death by her brother Timothy Robert Kroesing and her maternal grandparents Raymond and Ester Turner.
