Obituary for Patricia Ann Patrick

Patricia Ann Patrick, age 74 of Utica, May 25, 2015. Patricia was born on March 18, 1941 in Detroit to Freda and Roland Miller. She was the eldest of seven children followed by Edward, Marie, Lynn, John, Michael, and Steve. Her siblings have always said she was a kind, caring, and all an around wonderful sister. Her most treasured memories are spending summers in Wisconsin with the rest of her extended family.

Patricia married Herman Patrick, the love of her life, on June 1, 1961. They had four children: Kimberly, John, Kelly, and Kristi. Although she was a beautician by trade, she gave that up to be a homemaker.

Patricia welcomed two, much loved son-in-laws Wayne Myers and Chris Wilcox into her life. Since 2003, she became a Granny to James, Kristina, and Michael.

She always appreciated everything she received. It was the little things that meant the most to her: White Castle hamburgers, Frostys and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Though much of her life was a trial, she maintained a positive attitude and outlook on life. She was an accomplished artist on many mediums from ceramics to drawing and sewing; including making clothes for her children. She will be remembered as a role model for all mothers as she never gave up hope, joy, or faith and her love was unconditional and always openly expressed.

A funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion 48362 on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:30 AM with visitation beginning at the church at 10:30 AM. A luncheon will follow the mass immediately at the church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 3-8 PM with a scripture service at 7 PM.
