Obituary for Mary Anne Boberg

Mary Ann Boberg (Gantzer), a long-time resident of Oxford, Michigan died peacefully at her home on the19th of October.

Born in 1928, Mary was a 1948 graduate of Saint Michael High School in Pontiac, MI. Mary was the beloved mother of Margaret Batchelor of O'Fallon, IL, John (Angela) Boberg, of Oxford, Robert (Jennifer) Boberg, of Indianapolis, IN, and James of Oxford. Cherished grandmother of ten; and great grandmother of four. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Ted" Boberg, and her son Charles "Tom" Boberg.

Mary was one of the founding members of the Oxford-Orion FISH. She held many offices within the organization. For over 45 years, she dedicated her time, talents and generous spirit to the community. Her selfless actions led to her being honored with the "Advocate of the Needy Award" by FISH.

A Memorial Mass will take place at Dominican Sisters of Peace, 775 W. Drahner Rd, Oxford on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at the church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow the mass at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Oxford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Oxford/Orion FISH PO Box 732, Lake Orion MI 48361 or to the Dominican Sisters Motherhouse, 775 Drahner Road in Oxford. Arrangements were entrusted to Lynch and Sons Funeral Directors in Oxford.
