Obituary for Linda S. Richert

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda S. Richert announces her passing on December 29th, 2019 at the age of 65. Linda was beyond courageous and inspired all of us with her strong, positive and hopeful attitude, all the while battling cancer for the past few years. Linda was born to William and Betty Quigley on August 13, 1954 in Port Huron, Mi. She attended catholic school and graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1972. She then went on to further her education with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Walsh College. Linda married Randy Richert on December 9th, 1972 and they both retired in 2015 which afforded additional time for Linda to enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time at their cottage in Northern Michigan. Above all else Linda enjoyed spending time with and loving her grandchildren. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and we were blessed to have her as long as we did. We will forever miss her smile, kindness and her beautiful green eyes. She will always remain in our hearts.

Linda will forever be remembered by her husband of 47 years Randy, daughter Christa ( Steve ) Karle and her grandchildren Sofie Elizabeth Karle and Isla Linda Karle, along with her brother in law Jeff ( Patricia ) Richert, nieces Laura Richert and Jackie ( Marshall ) Hooks, as well as other extended family members and friends. The family also would like to thank Cynthia Rackham and her family for their loving support during this difficult time. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth ( Betty ) Quigley. A private memorial service with family will take place at a later date. Donations if you wish may be made out to the American Cancer Society.
