Kelli Joanna Walker, age 37, of Atlanta Ga. passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was born November 9, 1977 in Granbury, Texas. Kelli dearly loved her childhood in Granbury. She enjoyed spending time with her family on camping trips as well as countless trips to Lake Granbury learning to swim like a fish and enjoying the cool water. Her days were spent, along with her siblings and friends, delighting in adventures in Grandma and Grandads' fields of bluebonnets. She made lifelong friends amongst the flowers and sunshine of her youth. Family reunions, Sunday school at Granbury Church of Christ, the after church lunches at Pizza Inn, Fourth of July celebrations, Momma and Daddy cheering her on at her basketball games, splashing in the flooded gully outside the house with her brothers and sister after the heavy summer rains covered in mud, playing hide and seek, these were the moments of youth that Kelli most cherished.
After moving with her family to Michigan in 1993, she graduated Oxford High School in 1997. Determined to advance her education, Kelli received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security. She then excelled as IT Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Kelli's many passions included art, crafts, painting, decorating, music and above all, her children. Her contagious laugh, radiant smile and fire of her spirit was the beacon that drew Kelli's myriad of beloved life long friends.
Throughout her adult life Kelli's most cherished moments were spent raising and adventuring with her three precious children. She adored being their Momma and taking them on trips to the zoo, fun filled fairs and events along with family vacations to the beach. Kelli found it paramount to instill in her children the love, caring, compassion and values that she practiced. Her babies were the light of her life and illuminated her path with happiness and joy.
Kelli is survived by her three children, Chloe Jade of Escondido, CA; Lain Ryan and Madayah Piper of Waterford, MI; one grandchild Lillian Jade of Ohio; parents Jack and Lisa Kitching of Oxford, MI; sister Nikki (Walker) McCullough of Escondido, CA; brothers Nathan Walker of Granbury, TX; and Kevin Kitching of Charlotte, NC; Grandparents Jimmy and Mary Walker of Granbury, TX; Ellen Kitching of Granbury, TX and Jack Peebles of Granbury, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; countless cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father Glen Peebles of FT. Worth, TX. Kelli was immensely loved and will be missed by all.
