Obituary for Joseph M. Liba

Joseph Liba, age 91 of Addison Township, June 3, 2010. Survived by his beloved wife of 19 years Margot, 10 step-children and their spouses, 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his brother Prof. Richard Liba, his sisters Pauline Cecile and Dorothy Liba, 5 nieces and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Susan Moravcikova Liba and his father Michael Liba; his sisters Anna Lockman and Irene Liba, and his brother Bill Liba.

Joseph served during WWII in the Air Corp and Air Force, was a crew chief of the 400 squadron, 90th Bomb/Jolly Roger in the South Pacific and during the Korean War served in the Air Force in Alaska and the weather squadron. He worked at Timco/Texas as a product designer for 4 years and he retired from Chrysler as a product designer after 30 years. Joseph will also be greatly missed by his golfing friends at Mulberry Hills Country Club and Cracklewood Golf Club in Macomb, playing in both the Chrysler and Senior tours.

Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Bossardet Chapel 39 W. Burdick, Oxford Sunday June 6 from 3-8 PM and Monday June 7 from 3-8 PM. The funeral service will take place Tuesday at One O'clock at St. Augustine's House 3316 Drahner Rd, Oxford with family and friends gathering at the church beginning at noon.
