John Valentine “Val” Zamborsky, 67, of Oxford, Michigan passed away in his wife's loving arms on July 31st, 2020. Val was born February 12, 1953 in Trenton, NJ. He was proud to have attended GMI and enjoyed a long career at General Motors. He was a passionate sports fan and especially enjoyed playing soccer. Val was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great-uncle, mentor, and friend. He was immensely devoted to his family and friends. His kind, gentle, and selfless nature influenced everyone he met along life's path. He lived his life with a grateful heart and was focused on his many blessings even throughout his illness. We will continue to celebrate his life and live our lives following his example as a faithful man of God. May our memories of him continue to guide us through the rest of our journey until we meet again.

Devoted husband to Barbara, loving father to: Jessica (Rich) Westness, Noah Zamborsky, Trevor (Brianna) Zamborsky, Kimberly (Eric) Schultz, Beth (Jeff) Babbitt, and Kari (Grahame) Burrow; cherished grandfather “Z” to: Owen & Evan Westness, Helen Zamborsky, Julie, Thomas, & Rose Schultz, Emerson, Logan, Kingston, Pierce, & Channing Burrow, Christian & Joseph Babbitt; dear brother to: Barbara Wilfing, Annette (Bob) Fitzsimmons, Joseph (Karin) Zamborsky, Jane Zamborsky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Carolyn, and his brother William Zamborsky.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

On Monday, August 10, 2020 a visitation and Celebration of Life service will be held at Woodside Bible Church in Lake Orion, Michigan. During these events social distancing is encouraged and a mask will be required. Visitation will begin at the church at 11 with the Celebration of Life service starting at 12 noon.

Woodside Bible Church is located at 2500 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan 48360. Please enter using the doors facing Joslyn Road
