Obituary for John F. Dailey

John F. Dailey, age 84 of Oxford, formerly of Washington, IL and Destin, FL, passed away on February 18, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, OH on July 4, 1933. John was an avid Ohio State University fan. He attended the university and had the pleasure of playing football for two years there. John loyally served his country in the United States Air Force Reserve for 12 years. He was the National Director of Field Sales for Stroh Brewery for 20 + years. John was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of St. Jospeh Catholic Church, and volunteered much of his time at Providence Hospital working with the therapy dogs.

John is survived by his wife Judy of 62 years; daughters Cathy (Bob) Dailey Culver, Laura (Joe) Dailey Pelle, Jackie (Mark) Dailey Reuland, and Linda (Bill) Dailey Houlis; grandchildren Michael Reuland, Joseph Reuland, and McKenna Pelle; also many other loving family members, friends and his loving and loud K9 companion Otto.

John was preceded in death by his parents John & Helen Dailey; sister Patricia Lindsey.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors in Oxford, MI on Friday, February 23rd from 3-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary Service. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion. Fr. Mike Verschaeve will officiate. Memorial donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Muscular Dystrophy Association are appreciated.
