Obituary for Jeffrey Norman Brecht

Jeffrey Norman Brecht, 40, died September 11, 2011. He was born September 21, 1970 in Lapeer to Fredrick and Patricia Brecht. He was proceeded in death by his mother just last year and we take comfort in knowing they are together again in heaven. Jeffrey was married to Tracy Lynn Brecht on June 30, 2001 and was the father to Mariah Talia Brecht (17), Jeffrey Norman Brecht Jr.(12) and Chase Vaughn Brecht (9). Jeffrey is also survived by his sister Lorena Laverne Robinson, brother Fredrick Charles Brecht 3rd. and sister Rhonda Sophia Brecht. And many Uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.

Jeffrey was a man who loved adventure, he was creative, multi-talented and inspiring. He loved music and could play any instrument you gave him, he loved to write and record his own music and made it to #1 on the Flint music charts of Reverbnation. He loved to
hike and in March of 2008 he began the 2,180 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Only 1 in 4 people ever succeed at completing the entire trail in one journey, but Jeff did it, he completed his trip on Aug 21, 2008. He was a carpenter by trade but his talent led
him to make some of the most beautiful pieces of furniture our family had ever seen. Jeff also enjoyed making animations and videos and eventually his own music videos. He was a genuine person who wore his heart on his sleeve, he could make you laugh, make you cry, and everything in between. He was loved more than he ever knew by his family and there will always be an emptiness until we are together again.

Memorials in Jeffreys memory can be made to Tracy Brecht and will be used to help with the cost of Jeffreys headstone.

A memorial service is currently pending.
