James Dean Miller, Sr. age 85 of Marine City, formerly of Oxford; passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022.
Survivors include, daughter Jeanna (Steve) Clifford and son, James D. Miller, Jr. Grandfather of Andrea (Joel) Sanford, Casey (Trinity), Travis (Emilie) and Danielle and 5 great-grandkids. Brother of Bonnie Gee, Della Watkins, and Norris (Penny) Miller.
Preceded in death by, wife, Dixie of 53 years and sons Jacob, Shelby and parents, James Miller, Della Miller-Kuder, brothers, Robert, Ronald, Rodney, and sister, Nancy Naomi Miller.
James was born in Cadillac, MI on February 8, 1937 on the family farm and attended Waterford High School in 1956 and received his GED while in the service. He enlisted in the Navy in 1956 and then transferred to the Air Force. James worked at Oxford Lumber and retired from Ford Motor Proving Grounds in Romeo from May 17, 1962 to March 1, 2000.
A memorial visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2-6 PM with a memorial service starting at 6 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or American Diabetes Association.
