Diane S. Immell, age 70 of Oxford and formerly of Pontiac, born in Harrisburg, IL on November 1, 1944 and passed January 3, 2015. She was the beloved wife of James Immell for 51 years. She is also survived by her daughter Kimberly and her son Michael (Shelly); grandchildren Travis, Taylor, Justin, Shelby, Dakota and Wyatt; great-grandchildren Brandon and Shelby; and brother John Furlong. She was preceded in death by her parents John Furlong and Wanda Jean Travelstead Furlong.
Diane was very proud of her work in the I.S.C.A. car show circuit where she devoted her time and energy as a car handler and detailer. She also was a softball coach, girl scout leader and school cook for the Oxford Schools (Daniel Axford Elementary). Even with so many activities, she was rarely separated from her life companion and best friend, James. More than just a married couple, they truly enjoyed spending time with one another, enriching each other with the others company.
Per Diane's request there will not be any immediate services. Once the weather turns warmer there will be a gathering celebrating Diane's life. Arrangements for cremation entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, Oxford.
