Dewey Lane, Age 91 of Oakwood. Born August 5, 1918 in Flattop, West Virginia and passed away September 19 at home with family. He was the beloved husband of Bernice for 56 years. Loving dad of Sue (Ed), Jeff (Suzy). Papa of Mike, Laurie, Haylie and Travis. Great-grandpa of Stephen. Brother-in-law of Sue Stover, Evelyn Boyd, and Norma Hanks of Michigan, Nola & Judith Lane of West Virginia, and many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents, two sisters and nine brothers.
Dewey was an Army Veteran of WWII and served in Japan. He was a member of the American Legion 108 of Oxford. Retired from Pontiac Motors after 30 years. Funeral Service Monday at 1:00 pm from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors-Bossardet Chapel, 39 W. Burdick St., Oxford. Visitation from 11:00 until time of service. Pastor Bob Service officiating.
