Dean Turner passed away October 6, 2010 peacefully at his home in Northville , MI . He was 68 years old. Dean was born March 13, 1942 to parents Lucille Tatoris and Laverne Turner. He was raised in Yale , Michigan and graduated from High School in 1960. Soon after he pursued an amateur pilot’s license, then worked as an ironworker in Detroit . He earned his skilled trade journeyman card and began work at the GM Technical Center for Chevrolet, eventually retiring from Detroit Diesel Allison after 31 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors and trap shooting.
Dean is survived by his wife Connie Allen Turner of 49 years and brothers Deroy, Randall and sister Debra. He was preceded in death by sisters Diane and Dee . He will forever be missed by his children Suzanne (Lawrence) Monahan, Joanne (Harry) Karagosian, Wayne Turner and Mark (Eliane) Turner, treasured grandchildren Stephanie, John, Casey, Paul, Patrick, Emilie, Samantha and Rebecca and precious great grand child Madeline, along with friends and family whom were blessed to have known him.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, October 13th, 2010, at 5:30 pm, Lynch & Sons Funeral Home in Oxford , MI. Memorials appreciated to Michigan Wildlife Conservancy. 6380 Drumheller Road, PO Box 393 , Bath , MI 48808 , www.miwildlife.org.
