Obituary for Amanda Louise Weir

Amanda Louise Weir was called home to be with her beloved husband, on Sunday, 3/27/11 at the age of 92.
Louise was born to Charles Robert and Mary (Butler) Moore in Randolph County, Butler Township, Arkansas on July 23, 1918. She married Paul Frank Weir on July 3, 1937 and lived in Black Rock, Arkansas until the early 50’s when they moved to Pontiac, Michigan.
Frank left this earth on January 4, 1993 and Louise has anxiously awaited this time to join him.
Louise was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Pontiac for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and lovingly donated her time working in their kitchen.
Predeceased by her husband Paul Frank Weir, a son Robert Frank Weir and 5 brothers and sisters.
Survived by a son, Terry and his wife Sharon of Oxford, MI, 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Meadows of Boulder, CO, Mark (Judy) Weir of Spokane, WA, Terese Allen of Goodrich, MI, Christopher (Jessie) Weir of Fenton, MI, Melissa Hepler (Mark) of Grand Blanc, MI, Brianna Lewis (Aron) of Goodrich, MI, and Ryan and Justin Weir of Oxford, MI. As well as 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who all have wonderful memories of a loving, kind and gentle soul who taught us all so much.

The last years of her life were spent at The Pines Of Lapeer in Lapeer, Michigan where she was treated and cared for with the utmost love, kindness and respect.

Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Bossardet Chapel, in Oxford, Michigan on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, April 1, 2011, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
