Obituary for Ailene (Hric) Rossman

Ailene Golden Hric Rossman was born September 16, 1923. At the age of 93, she was born to eternal life on Divine Mercy Sunday April 23, 2017.

Ailene was born in Chicago along with five brothers and one sister. Her husband, John, predeceased her in 1986. Her second husband, Bud, predeceased her in 2007. Her son, Jack died in 1972. She is survived by her brother, Bob Golden, her children: Roger and Dona(Hric) Orteca, Tom and Mary(Watson) Hric, Jim and Nina(Sinatra) Hric, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, the step families of Kim Rossman, Vicki Turner and Dottie Rossman and many in-laws, nieces and nephews in Chicago.

She raised her family in Oak Park Michigan and her last residence was in Oxford Michigan.

Ailene graduated from Shapero School of Nursing in 1964. She was Sinai's LPN of the year and a finalist for the city of Detroit in 1971. She first worked as a surgical intense care nurse. She was then hired as an outpatient surgical coordinator providing personal contact to reassure anxious patients. She would see thirty to forty patients and their families a day. They were blessed to have Ailene take care of them. She brought God's love and empathy to everyone.

Ailene was a woman of great faith. She relied on God through all her trials, among them, her son's premature death, various health challenges, and the death of her husbands.

Everyone in the family called Ailene a saint. And she was/is. She was full of love, kindness and unselfishness. We never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She always put everyone before herself. She never complained. A ready beautiful smile always greeted you. She made you feel important when she talked to you. She was no stick-in-the-mud though, she was always up for anything. She rode on the back of a motorcycle in her 80's!

Her Godly example will stay with us in our lives. She showed us how to live righteously in so many ways. Hopefully, her example will be passed on to the generations as they remember Saint Grambo."

Tempus Fugit (her favorite)

"Blessed are those who have died in the Lord;
Let them rest from their labors,
for their good deeds go with them."
